For over two decades, Ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro has taken the ‘ukulele to points previously thought impossible and amazed the world with his high-energy ukulele interpretations of everything from Hawaiian instrumentals to the Beatles to Bach. Shimabukuro reunites with the Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra to present a truly unique night of contemporary symphonic music.

Your HSO launches the 23/24 HapaSymphony Series with a night of love, inclusion, and DRAG. Beyond Hapa features an abundance of Hawai’i-born divas performing everything from operatic favorites to mele to Rachmaninoff’s second piano concerto.

Mesmerizing songstress Lea Almanza, jazzy Starr Kalahiki, incomparable pianist Lady Laritza La Bouche, and the legendary Brandy Lee will join your favorite orchestra to bring you a spine-tingling symphonic experience. Renowned Hawai’i performer Cocoa Chandelier will be our host for the evening and we’ll even have a special appearance by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Honolulu.
